Pleasanton Partnerships in Education (PPIE) Foundation

The Pleasanton Partnerships in Education (PPIE) is a non-profit 501(c) 3 foundation dedicated to supporting Pleasanton public schools. Their goal is to raise funds in order to protect programs threatened by state budget cuts, and to fund projects / needs enhancing educational excellence for students in the Pleasanton Unified School District. PPIE relies on the generous support of the extended community to help our schools maintain excellence by meeting classroom needs unfunded by other means.

Working in a strong collaborative relationship with the Pleasanton Unified School District over the years, programs have been added and/or enhanced to further meet the needs of Pleasanton students and educators, and build upon the critical partnering of business, our community, and education.

Parent Teacher Associations
Many of our schools have PTAs (Parent Teacher Associations) as their parent groups. The Pleasanton PTA Council is the next organizational level of PTA beyond the school site and addresses issues that are important to parents and public school administrators alike – full funding, excellent teachers, and an environment conducive to quality education for all children. The purpose of the Council, and of all PTA components, is to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship;raise the standards of home life; secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth;bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth;and develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.

City of Pleasanton
We also benefit from partnerships with the City of Pleasanton and its many commissions and departments.  We also work closely with the Pleasanton Police Department on matters of concern around student or staff safety.
