Amador Valley Community Rallies to Sprinkle Happiness on Students Before the Holidays

The forecast was sunny with a chance of sprinkles at Amador Valley High School who had a spirited line of staff, families and students out in force to welcome students as they arrive to school on Thursday, November 21 at 8:00 a.m. to ‘sprinkle happiness’ before the Thanksgiving Holiday Break.

Amador staff and parents/guardians lined Santa Rita Road and Black Avenue holding signs of positivity and wearing bright colors to greet students as they arrived to school. The Amador Valley High School community has a strong focus and commitment to the social and emotional wellness of students and staff. While for many, the Thanksgiving holiday is a positive time to spend with family, some may struggle with anxiety and depression.

The November 21 event is a reminder that all are welcome and cared for in the Amador Valley community.

The event is being coordinated in part by the Amador Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) Committee and Counseling Team, Amador Associated Student Body, LINK and Journalism Programs.

Thank you to our Amador Valley High School community for caring for our Dons' mental health and wellness!
