Foothill High School - Portable Replacement and New Science Labs Project

The new buildings at Foothill have shifted primarily to the interior with casework, surface furnishes, and even AV being the latest scopes onsite.  Running parallel, is the maker's space building that will round out this project. RFQ/P's were sent out for prospective lease-lease back developers to submit their proposals.

Going Vertical!  Site utilities and foundations are completed and framing has commenced.  Insulation and roofing are starting.  The site is also preparing for its onsite and offsite drop off upgrade which will help reduce traffic on Foothill and on Campus.  
 
January 13, 2021
Construction began in October of 2020.  Currently site utilities are being located and the building bad is being constructed.  Additionally, the State Approved a grant submitted by the High School's CTE team and it was selected by the state to receive $3 Million Dollars of additional funding.  This will help fund a new workshop building that will be at Foothill, for CTE use.  The new building will be constructed after the current building is completed.

Schedule: 
The project is expected to go out for bid in summer of 2020 with construction starting in the summer. The anticipated construction completion is Fall 2021.
 
Scope:
Construction of a new 2-story classroom building and associated site work.
Phase 1: Construction of 3 engineering classrooms, 2 science classrooms with utility rooms, elevator and related site work. Provide automatic fire sprinkler system at existing Building J.
Phase 2: Construction of 1 engineering classroom, 1 science prep room, 2 computer labs, restroom, custodial room and related site work.
