Early Childhood Education Center Presentations
Dec. 5, 2024
On December 5th, the Pleasanton Unified School District's Facilities and Construction team hosted a second community engagement event to discuss the new Early Childhood Education Center at Harvest Park Middle School. This project is funded through the Measure I bond program, and a copy of the presentation is available.
The meeting focused on providing the community with updated designs, information on the vision for the new Early Childhood Education Center, a discussion as to why the new Early Childhood Education Center is needed, as well as open dialog with the community for questions and comments.
The updated designs incorporate the feedback received from the first design meeting. These updates include a reoriented parking lot, green belt extension, preservation of more trees, and safety enhancements to the parking lot.
Over a dozen community members attended the meeting. Staff provided an overview of the project and addressed questions and concerns. The Q&A session covered topics such as access to new sports facilities, parking inquiries, STEAM program operational hours, drop off pick up logistics, and sidewalk improvements
