Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

The California Department of Pesticide Regulation's (DPR) School IPM Program promotes the adoption of integrated pest management in schools and child care centers and provides support for Healthy Schools Act compliance.

PUSD has developed an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Plan that relies on long term pest prevention methods. The IPM program begins with education, habitat management, and alteration of maintenance activities, followed by physical, biological, and then chemical control.
