Classified to Teacher (C2T) Scholarship Opportunity

The PUSD Classified-to-Teacher (C2T) program supports classified employees who are interested in obtaining a teaching credential or a Bachelor's Degree on their way to a teaching credential.

The California Classified School Employee Teacher Credentialing Program addresses the state's teacher shortage in STEM, Special Education, Science, Math, and Spanish/Dual Immersion by supporting districts to recruit classified school employees into teaching careers and support their undergraduate education, professional teacher preparation and certification as credentialed California teachers.

Credential support is currently available in the following areas:

Benefits

  • Financial assistance (up to $4800 per year) to be used for degree and credentialing-related expenses such as tuition, fees, books, and examination costs
  • Credential Advising

Eligibility

  • Currently employed in a permanent PUSD classified position
  • Minimum of an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree or 60 Units
  • Cumulative GPA or 2.0 of higher
